Tenant modules and features
Settings → Tenant capabilities separates stored configuration from actual runtime availability. A module can be configured enabled and still be unavailable because of subscription, dates or dependencies.
Read the three states
| Screen value | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Configured enabled | Stored enable/disable choice |
| Within configured period | Whether the current time falls within its configured dates |
| Available now | Runtime capability result, including applicable dependencies and entitlement |
Configure a module
- Verify the Current tenant code and the displayed entitlements.
- Filter modules or inspect configured/unconfigured rows.
- Choose Configure module for a new configuration or Edit for an existing one.
- Select the offered Code, Enabled state, optional dates and approved advanced configuration.
- Save, then inspect all three state indicators.
- Open the module's detail to review its features, configuration and audit metadata.
AUTH and TENANT are platform-required modules and cannot be disabled. An unconfigured row is not automatically equivalent to unavailable; the screen displays runtime availability separately. Do not infer a universal default for every module.
Configure a feature
Open a module's configuration page and use Configure feature, Edit or the offered Enable/Disable action. Features need their own tenant.feature.view/manage authorities. Module-view and module-manage are independent; feature access does not imply module-read authority.
Example: Employee requires enabled PARTY and ORGANIZATION. Enabling Employee provides the directory capability; optional HR features still need their configuration and staff still need Employee permissions. The same principle applies to specialist features in other modules.
Disable with a plan
Check active users, outstanding work and dependencies before disabling a capability. Disabling is not deletion of historical records and does not automatically complete orders, cancel invoices or transfer responsibilities. After a change, refresh configuration and check dependent runtime results.
If Enable is unavailable because entitlement is missing, contact the platform operator. Tenant capability management cannot upgrade the subscription. If stored state is enabled but availability is false, review dates and dependencies before adding unrelated permissions.
