Invoicing

Invoicing turns an agreed customer sales order into a sales invoice, records its posting and shows what remains due. It also lets authorised staff inspect existing sales credit notes linked to the invoice.

Open Sales invoices from the application dashboard. This guide is called Invoicing to match the module name. Supplier bills belong to Purchasing, not this customer-invoice register.

The example used throughout

Bright Home Supplies invoices Café Aroma for an agreed sales order from Main Warehouse. The same people and products appear in the Sales guide.

PersonResponsibility in the examples
OmarSalesperson: prepares the source order
NadiaSales manager: approves the agreed discount and confirms the order
FarahAccounts: creates, checks and posts invoices, records customer payments
AliStorekeeper: dispatches through Sales once its conditions are met

The tax figures illustrate a training calculation of 20% on the net line amounts. They are not a tax recommendation. Prices, discounts and taxes must already be correct on the source order; the invoice copies them.

Current credit-note availability

Existing credit notes can be read, but credit-note creation, posting and cancellation are currently disabled in the browser. A notice says Credit-note changes are currently unavailable. Giving a user additional permissions does not enable those actions.

This guide explains existing credit records and their balance effects, without presenting the unreleased creation dialog as an available workflow. See Credit notes.

What the module does not do

There is no free-standing invoice entry, invoice line editor, posted-invoice cancellation/reversal button, debit-note creation screen, or invoice email/PDF-send action in these screens. Recording an invoice does not move stock or send money. Related payments, journals and reports have their own permissions and workflows.
