Dashboard and Care reports

Where: Care → Dashboard, and the application's shared Reports area. Who: care.report.view (not sensitive). The medication report also needs care.health.view and the MAR feature; the sponsorship report also needs charity.sponsorship.view.

Everything here is totals only: never names or beneficiary numbers. Figures cover only the homes you have access to, so James (both homes) and Sara (North House only) see different numbers.

The dashboard

  1. Open Dashboard.
  2. Choose a Facility, or All facilities I can see, and select Refresh.
  3. The header says, for example, "2 facilities · updated 6 Nov 2026, 09:12".

Small numbers are hidden

To stop anyone working out who a figure is about, counts from 1 to 4 are shown as <5, with the note "Fewer than 5; hidden to protect privacy". A total or percentage that would give the hidden number away is hidden too. Zero is shown as 0.

Example: Elm Lodge has 2 safeguarding incidents this month. The tile shows <5. With All facilities, the total is 6, so it shows 6.

A hidden value is not zero, and exporting does not reveal it.

Care reports

Where: the dashboard's Care reports list (select a report), or the application's Reports area. Reports are run with filters, such as dates and facility, and can be exported from the reports area.

ReportWhat it answers
Care occupancy censusHow full is each home? Beds, residents and capacity, per facility.
Care admissions and dischargesHow many came and went in a period, by type and reason?
Care length of stay and outcomesHow long do stays last, and how do they end (reunified, fostered, aged out …)?
Care reviews and assessments dueHow much review work is due or overdue, per facility?
Care expiring consents, orders and licencesWhat runs out soon: consents, legal authorities and facility licences?
Care incident statisticsIncidents by type, severity and status.
Medication adherence and errorsShare of scheduled doses recorded on time; missed and error counts (health access).
Sponsorship coverageHow many sponsorable people have sponsors (sponsorship access).

Example: at the quarterly board meeting James runs Care admissions and discharges for 1 July to 30 September with All facilities, and Care incident statistics for the same period. He exports both. Small counts appear as <5 in the export too.

Reading the medication report

The adherence figure is worked out from scheduled dose times in the period:

  • a dose recorded more than 60 minutes after its time counts as late;
  • a time with nothing recorded counts as not recorded, which is different from a recorded Missed outcome.

To follow up individual doses, use the Medication round and the person's MAR chart.

Every view is recorded

Running a report or opening the dashboard is logged with who and when. Each report carries a note saying who generated it and when.
