Questions

Do I need variants if my product has only one version?

Yes. Every product needs at least one variant. Create one called "Standard" with its own SKU (see A product with only one version).

Should colour be a category or a variant?

A variant. Categories group products (T-shirts, Mugs); colour and size are versions of the same product.

How do I stop selling something?

Set the product's (or one variant's) Status to Discontinued. Don't delete it: deleting is permanent and doesn't check stock or orders.

I deleted a category and my products now say "Uncategorized".

Deleting a category removes it from its products. Edit each product and choose a new Category.

I can't delete a category.

It probably has categories inside it. Move or delete those first.

Why didn't my product dimensions save?

The product-level dimension fields aren't saved at the moment. Enter sizes on each variant.

The Unit Of Measure list doesn't match our master data.

The product form currently offers a fixed list (PCS, KG, GRAM, LTR, METER). Choose the closest one. This is a known limitation.

How do I add a product image?

There's no screen for images yet.

The Price Range shows a dollar sign but we trade in another currency.

The register always shows $. The amounts are your variant sale prices, whatever the currency.

Can two products share a SKU?

No. SKUs are unique across all products. The same applies to EANs and barcodes when you create a product.
