Everyday questions, answered
| Question | How |
|---|---|
| "How many Blue / Large T-shirts can I sell?" | Product Cotton T-shirt, Variant Blue / Large, Search. Add up the Available column across the rows. |
| "What's running low?" | Quantity Less Than, 10, Search. |
| "What's in the damaged cage?" | Warehouse Main Warehouse, Location DAMAGED, Search. |
| "Where are all our mugs?" | Product Ceramic Mug, Search. One row per location that holds mugs. |
| "Do we have between 50 and 100 of anything?" | Quantity Between, 50 to 100. |
Worked example (Omar, salesperson): a customer wants 80 Blue / Large T-shirts. Omar searches the product and variant:
| Warehouse | Location | On Hand | Reserved | Available |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Main Warehouse | A-01-01 | 100 | 30 | 70 |
| City Shop Store | BACK | 15 | 0 | 15 |
There are 115 on hand, but only 85 available, and 70 of them in one place. Omar can promise 80, but tells Sana so 10 can be moved from the shop to the main warehouse first.
Look at Available, not On Hand. Reserved stock is already promised to someone else.
Why does the same product appear more than once?
Each row is one product (or variant) in one location. A product kept in three locations shows three rows. Filter by Product to see them all together.
