Frequently asked questions
Why is the saved price different from the price I saw while typing? The price shown while typing is a Catalog estimate. Saving calculates the real price.
Can two discounts apply to the same line? Yes: a customer discount, a volume discount and a promotion can all apply together. Two rules of the same type never stack; the best match wins.
Can a discount make a line free or negative? No. The total discount is capped at the line subtotal.
Is freight taxed? Not by the pricing engine. Freight is added after tax.
Where is the rounding? On the order total, as a separate adjustment.
We changed a price. Do existing orders change? No. Saved orders keep their prices until they are edited and saved again; confirmed, dispatched and invoiced orders are never re-priced.
Can I change prices myself? Not yet: there are no pricing setup screens. Ask an administrator; see what to send in the setup checklist.
Does Purchasing use these prices? No. Pricing currently prices sales orders. Purchase prices are entered on purchase orders.
