Maintain emergency contacts
Emergency contacts are private employee-linked HR records, not login users, beneficiary contacts or automatically created Parties. They require EMPLOYEE_PERSONAL_RECORDS and personal view/manage authority.

Add or update
- Open Emergency contacts and inspect existing records, including later pages.
- Choose Add emergency contacts or the exact record's Edit / close action.
- Enter approved contact details, explicit Active state and priority.
- Save and reload to verify phone, relationship and activity.
- For obsolete contacts, set Active to No rather than treating the screen as a delete workflow.
Examples and limitations
Amira identifies an approved contact with priority 1 and a backup with priority 2. Priority is recorded; it does not create an automatic call tree, contact notification or verified telephone connection. The service does not enforce unique priorities, so inspect duplicates through the HR process rather than assuming they are impossible.
A contact-name or phone correction updates the row under version control. Setting Active No preserves the record. Other HR fields are not full immutable revision histories, so do not claim every previous phone number remains recoverable as a separate revision.
Recovery
Missing required phone, relationship or priority blocks save. If optional email is provided it must be syntactically valid; that does not prove ownership. If the feature/tab is unavailable, ask for the exact approved personal-record access, not broad compensation/document authority.
After a conflict, keep your intended correction privately, cancel and reopen the exact record before retrying. Do not create a second active contact simply because an update failed or a later page was not checked.
